This volume features facsimile reprints of the Bhaktivedanta Institute Monograph Series, produced for the Bhaktivedanta Institute’s First International Scientific Conference on “Life Comes From Life,” held in Vrindavana, India, on October 14–16, 1977. Scientists from around the world gathered to discuss the nature and origin of life. The basic theme of the conference was that life cannot be reduced to a combination of material elements discussed in light of modern scientific theories and Vedic knowledge.
